About The Project
Welcome to the Slavic API Project, a journey into the depths of application architecture and Slavic mythology. This project was born from a realization during an architect position interview - I had never built a complete architecture from the ground up. That spark ignited a passion to create something unique and meaningful.
The Slavic API serves as a primitive library for Android platforms, providing developers with access to a rich database of Slavic mythological entities, stories, and symbols. Unlike the well-documented Greek, Roman, and Norse mythologies, Slavic mythology remains a relatively untapped resource in the world of APIs - something I aim to change.
Why Choose Slavic Mythology?
Rich Cultural Heritage
Slavic mythology offers a vast treasure trove of unique deities, creatures, and tales that have shaped Eastern European culture for centuries.
Unexplored Territory
While Greek, Roman, and Norse mythologies have been widely incorporated into modern media, Slavic mythology remains relatively undiscovered in digital applications.
Personal Connection
This project aligns with my personal heritage and interest, allowing me to share the fascinating stories and characters that have been part of Slavic culture for generations.

Project Roadmap
The Slavic API Project is still in its early stages, with a basic test application already developed for initial trials. Here's what's on the horizon:
- → Phase 1 (Current): Building the core API infrastructure and populating the initial database with essential Slavic mythological entities.
- → Phase 2: Expanding the database with more obscure myths and regional variations, implementing advanced search and filtering capabilities.
- → Phase 3: Creating an image repository with artistic representations of Slavic mythological figures, developing interactive storytelling features.
- → Future Vision: Building a community platform for folklore enthusiasts and developers to contribute and collaborate on expanding the API.
Join the Journey
I invite developers, mythology enthusiasts, and curious minds to explore, contribute, and collaborate on this growing project. Whether you're interested in using the API for your own applications or contributing to its development, your involvement is welcome.
